Land Acknowledgment
We seek to right the injustice of the erasure of the Indigenous people who originally inhabited these lands by honoring their history and traditions. This land was stewarded by the Arapaho, Apache, Cheyenne, Sioux, and Ute Nations. S.A.C.R.Ed Eco-Center recognizes the enduring relationships between many Indigenous peoples and their traditional homelands. We are grateful for the territory upon which we gather today and respect the original stewards of this land. May we continue to do the work to bring justice, healing, education, and sustainable relationships to be embodied through S.A.C.R.Ed Eco-Center’s mission, vision, and purpose.
Rites of Passage
Different indigenous cultures around the world have their own unique rites of passage that vary in form and purpose. Each culture has its own traditions and beliefs, and rites of passage are deeply embedded in the fabric of their societies, helping to instill values, identity, and a sense of belonging in the community. Our non-profit organization believes that celebrating indigeneity is important. We host a variety of programs that emphasize our indigenous cultures and honor traditions by passing them on to the current and next generation. It's important to note that the specific rites of passage vary greatly among different indigenous cultures, reflecting the diversity of traditions and beliefs across the world. Our projects are designed to leave an lasting impact on our community and beyond.
